HND
So far i have been quite adequate that i won't be going to do higher education after i finish this course. But yesterday i had a mini tour of what things would be like if i were to go on to do a HND course at Canterbury college. I have to say i was actually very impressed by what they have to offer. The work that they had on display from the students was professional looking and the attitude of the students that were there was very positive towards the course. I thought the course i was doing right now had really good facilities to help with your work but there was so much more that they had to work with. As of right now i am starting to open my eyes to the possibility of doing a higher education course and so will be researching into this a lot more even if the overall result is that i don't pursue it.

Uni hunt
So far my look for possible universities has started out slow. Still deciding what exactly i would like to do once i finish college one course definitely looks appealing to me.
I did animation when i was at school and always found it really fun and easy to do so for now the opportunity to do this as a uni course is something i am very interested in. But it is early stages right now so this might change in the future.

This is just a few examples of the quality of the work that some of the students have done who went on these courses.

Trip to Brighton
On friday the 20th September me and my class took a trip up to Brighton to visit the Brighton art fair as well as other areas of similar interest. This was my first time visiting Brighton but hopefully it won't be my last. Everywhere you go the smells were incredible and everywhere you go there was plenty of interesting graffiti to look at.
Although there was a lot of art that was really good not much of it actually stood out at me and caught my eye. My favourite kind of art is the stuff that is complicated. For instance this painting, You can see the journey the artist made with it and all the incredible detail he put into it.
Thanks to Fellow classmate and blogger for the pictures. James Nicholas jamesnicko.blogspot.co.uk

Brick Lane
The atmosphere that you get when you just sit and watch there will make you laugh. From getting people coming up to you asking where Brick lane is when you're sitting under a sign that says it. To builders asking where the "BEST FUCKING KEBAB PLACE IS".
If you're ever in the area i would recommend trying the buffalo wings at this little van near to where you will see this. As myself being a pussy i would not recommend anything about the second strongest sauce because they hurt.
......i still haven't found out where that kebab place is. Peace out my Brothers!
Trip to the D&AD
Visit to the D&AD
On the 4th July it was our class trip to the 'New Blood' exhibition at the D&AD in London. Upon first getting there i was surprised at just how small the exhibit actually was. I was expecting it to be much bigger. Out of everything that we saw there what stood out the most were these two pieces. One for it's simplicity the other because of the amount of detail and work put into it.

The students that were at these stalls had a good understanding of their subject and were easy to talk to. Some of them had some really good ideas but didn't execute them very well whereas some had the skills but their ideas were lacking.
There was this one bit that was really good. I didn't manage to take a picture of it though, My bad. It was a set of drawers made to look like a person and it was really well made.
